CLERGY
The Rev. Ronald S. Fisher, Rector
Ronald Fisher has at Ascension for over twenty years, and is a Communion Partner Rector. A native Marylander, he attended Baltimore Polytechnic Institute, Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, and Virginia Theological Seminary. Ordained in 1983, Fr. Ron began his ministry at St. Thomas’ Church, Garrison Forest in Owings Mills. As part of his ministry at Ascension he is involved in the local community, serving on several agency and non-profit boards over the years; he is also an active member of the local Ministerium. He enjoys swimming, sailing, downhill skiing, roller coasters and toy trains.
The
Rev. Samuel W. Edleman, Adjunct Priest
Samuel Edleman began ministry in
his native state of
Georgia in 1960 before moving to Maryland in 1975. After serving a
number of congregations (from Garrett to St. Mary's Counties, and in
between) Fr. Sam (partially) retired in 1999 and came to Ascension in
December of
that year to serve as assistant to the Rector in whatever ways are
needed. He resides at Carroll Lutheran Village (since 2005)
where
he teaches and plays bridge, works as a volunteer in the Marketing
Division, reads voraciously, and plays tennis when he can find a
partner.
