For Children and Youth
Classes for Age 3 – Grade 12
Explore with us as we discover who Jesus is. We will walk with the prophets and the saints, and we will learn what God is saying to us today!
Classrooms are located on the second floor.
SENIOR HIGH CLASS
Grades 9 – 12
Senior High students will study Katie Brazelton’s The Way I Am Wired: Discovering Who God Made Me to Be during the 2017-2018 school year. They will view a variety of short videos that connect to each week’s theme, and supplement their learning with devotions written specifically for teens. They plan to identify a family, or perhaps a teen Sunday School class, hopefully one in the Houston area, to buddy up with, and pray for and do for. They hope to lighten a family’s burden this Christmas. They will participate in Soup Kitchen as needed, and generally spend quality time together talking and praying and laughing and eating and learning.
Grades 6 – 8
Over a 3 year period, we will learn about the Episcopal Church, using the book My Faith, My Life written by Jenifer Gamber.
Grades 6 – 12
Ascension’s Youth Group is active and involved! The Youth Group promotes Christian fellowship and offers the youth a variety of ways to reflect Christ’s life. They have attended a youth conference in Ocean City, visited The Cathedral of St. John the Divine in New York City for a multi-diocesan retreat, sponsored a bowling event for all church members, laughed at the local corn maze, and led Summer Camp activities. They are active in our worship and so much more!
